Text Box: CALL FOR PROPOSALS (Fund by the European Commission) The ongoing outbreaks of H5N1 Avian Influenza in Indonesia have had a significant impact. Since August 2003, more than 10 million livestock have been affected and the H5N1 virus has crossed the species barrier resulting in at least 135 confirmed human cases with 110 deaths. Moreover, the potential exists for the H5N1 Avian Influenza virus to trigger a human pandemic. Research on clinical disease, virology and epidemiology of H5N1 in Indonesia is needed to understand the ecology and variability in transmission to human. To foster essential research, WHO requests for proposal that will then be evaluated through a review process. The awards will then be made to compentent researchers and institutions focused on research of local scientists and public health professionals. Areas for research include: 1. Studies of disease ecology, transmission, and epidemiology. 2. Studies of clinical spectrum and management of disease. Edupassion     Edupassion is an event in my school, in Senior Highschool 3 at Belitung street number 8. This event is annual event for students to make easier us to choose our college after graduating and to know about our passion in some lessons. For example, if you like biology, math, chemistry you have to considering to enter medical school to be a doctor and anything else. There are several types of  booths  that include well-known universities around Bandung, for example there are Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Padjadjaran,  Institut Teknologi Bandung   (Institute of Technology) etc.     In this place, there also have many food and drink booths  between the universities booths . students are required to buy food and drinks using money that has been exchanged first. Volcanic Eruption A volcanic eruption occurs when hot materials from the earth's interior are thrown out of a volcano. Lava, rocks, dust, and gas compounds are some of these "ejecta". Eruptions can come from side branches or from the top of the volcano. Some eruptions are terrible explosions that throw out huge amounts of rock and volcanic ash and kill many people. Some are quiet outflows of hot lava. Several more complex types of volcanic eruptions have been described by volcanologists. These are often named after famous volcanoes where that type of eruption has been seen.
